Editorial – Issue 21
We have come to the end of the year and this is also our last editorial of the year 🙂
A pat on the shoulder for everyone in the team, as well as a big thank you to artists and readers who have been involved in our activities and those who have supported us throughout the year. Our first issue began on 21st March this year, where we also launched our first comics anthology “My World”. “My World” is a compilation of 1-3 pages short comics by 17 artists from different walks of life. Check it out if you have not.
SG Cartoon Resource Hub was also the co-organiser of Comic Embassy, a community space in Tekka Place dedicated towards showcasing the best of Singapore’s comics, illustration, sequential art, and storytelling, held from June to August this year. During this period, we held a variety of talks, workshops, art demonstrations etc and we were glad to have artists and creators from diverse backgrounds joining us.
For the new year, we plan to start our newsletter, it is likely to be a fortnightly thing where we simply notify you when we have new articles up, feel free to subscribe to our newsletter here.
We are always open to new initiatives and feedback from readers. If there’s anything you would like to see on SG Cartoon Hub, let us know in our facebook group or simply drop us a message.
Lastly, don’t forget to check out our latest posts for the year, The Doraemon Exhibition Singapore 2022: Fine Art versus Fan Art – an event review by Clio Ding and our video interview – Interview with Wee Tian Beng (Part 2).
Now, enjoy your Christmas shopping and see you next year!
