1. Tell us a little about yourself, what you do and like doing?
Hello, my name is Christine Joyce Wagan and I’m currently a student at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, and I draw. A lot.
2. What makes you want to draw and submit your comics for the anthology?
I kept drawing mainly because I love doing it, I suppose. I submitted my comics to the anthology because I thought it was a good opportunity to practice making comics.
3. Share with us your art style, what has influenced you that makes you want to draw in the style you are advocating?
My art style is cartoonish, mainly, as it was influenced by many other comic artists who aren’t really from Singapore, such as Mary Cagle Gigi D.G., or Rachel Smythe, all of which have web comics of their own.
4. What do you think about when it comes to comics-making or publishing in Singapore?
I think making comics is a difficult thing, and even more so if you’re publishing them here in Singapore as you’re not likely to be well-known beyond here.
5. If money is not an issue, what would you like to pursue in comics?
If money wasn’t an issue, I’d like to produce my web comic series but I lack the time and motivation for it as well.
